Genoans are a race of beautiful winged humanoids with a militant history. They are lean and often use their agile bodies to their advantage.

Other races often consider Genoans to be one of the most beautiful. Their bodies are lithe yet toned and are generally coveted by other humanoid species, Humans most of all. But even so, their angelic forms still have flaws that members of their own race can spot, while outsides cannot.

Genoan wings are a prime example of their beauty and falley. While their wings do grant them flight, they soak up water like sponges, weighing them down for hours.

Flight

Genoans may use their movement to fly, while flying they have no advantages or disadvantages.
If they are made [Prone] during flight, they fall and take fall damage equal to the distance they have fallen.
Additionally, if they submerge their wings in water or become soaked by other means, they are [Grounded] for 1 Hour.

Genoan Purity

Most commonly Genoans are considered "Pure" and the connection they share to their ancient power remains unsullied. However, some Genoans have become tainted by an external source of some kind. Sometimes this corruption is due to their own actions but it can also be due to the actions of others.

Pure Genoans

Pure Genoans have multitudes of wing colors and defining features, the connection to their source also remains pure, allowing them to more directly extend protections to their allies.

  • At level 1, whenever the Pure Genoan grants an ally a Genoan Regen Die and it is used to heal, that ally also gains 1D6 False Health.

  • At level 10, the Pure Genoan's Regen Die size increases from a D10 to a D12.

  • At level 12, gain 2D8 Damage Resistance to one of the following damage types: Impact, Piercing, Plasma, Scorching, or Slashing.

Tainted Genoans

Tainted Genoans must be tainted by a specific source. This source can be a physical object, experience, mindset, or specific actions that they have committed. Tainted Genoans oftentimes have new colorations within their feathers and other stray features that become visible.

  • At level 1, the Tainted Genoan's Regen Die size is a D8 instead of a D10.

  • At level 3, the Tainted Genoan may use a Free Action every 12 seconds and deal 1D8 Ancient Damage to themselves and regain 2 Regen Dice.  An additional 1D8 Damage is added for each additional time the Genoan uses this ability between Rests. Regen Dice regained this way cannot be used to heal the Genoan and are lost after 1 minute.

  • At level 8, the Tainted Genoan may use a Free Action every 6 seconds instead of 12 seconds.
