They make alliances with darkness and light: some becoming Prophets and others Rifters. They have gone into alternative timelines at two instances. Now they have returned to their timeline...who knows whether they will still survive or go at each other's throats!
[TRANSMISSION BEGINS]:
Fighting on the train continues. Daniel Trayden's wife is still with them whom Abraxas had enthralled. Odessya had extracted that information from her.
Valeera perforates a man with bullets. He dies. He wears down several others.
Abraxas focuses on the duel-wielder. Odessya kills the gunslinger.
After a bit of combat, the remaining person ends up surrendering. He claims to be a conductor, but seeing through his lie, they consider tossing him off the train. They toss him off the train that is going 80 mph.
Trayden's wife asks if they are going to toss her too. Abraxas tries to enthrall her again. He fails. He asks her some questions about her husband and is they can have a private discourse with him. She tells him that if Clay is there, he would not talk. Abraxas tells her that if an arrangement can be made he could be swayed because he is only in it for the reward.
He lets her go, but he has one of his dogs go with her to keep an eye on her. He tells her she can do whatever he wants.
The other group went to the front of the train. After a while they return. They ask how things go. He tells them to give her time. He says that he would have to talk to Daniel by himself. Clay immediately gets aggressive. He explains that that is exactly why he has to meet him himself. Clay doesn't understand. He calls him a “Simple Man”. Clay is offended. Abraxas is a bit miffed about the loss of his augments.
Clay and him get a little heated. Abraxas asks why Clay is hunting him. He refuses to answer him. Abraxas says that Daniel seems to be a lot like himself and that he is only there because he was dragged into it. Clay then says he is out of time. Abraxas points out that he has been that way for a while already so it is nothing new. Abraxas tries to dig a bit more. He then leaves the room to talk to the wife.
Odessya looks at Clay and glares. He states something about the fact that medical quality and death are nil in the new place they are in.
Everyone else on the train are screaming and yelling and running into the town when the train arrives in town. The sheriffs are confused. The one who approaches the cabin and asks what happened has his hand on his gun. They say it was bandits. He is shocked. When he sees the horse he is even more shocked.
The town they are in now is desert-y but it has more greenery than the previous one. There are trees and grass. It is slightly cooler.
The wife Dianna takes Abraxas and Odessya to meet her husband. The dogs approach: one with a serious face and the other is panting and friendly. They approach the church.
Inside, people are praying fervently. The pastor at the front is overwhelmed.
They meet Daniel. Abraxas asks for why they are interested in him. Daniel looks at Abraxas and lifts his hat. Abraxas sees his eyes glowing. He thinks he is a Zalos.
He verifies it. They end up talking about him and his Zalos abilities. They want to know what caused Clay's mad obsession.
As they talk, his nose starts to bleed.
